The Dovetail Joints: The Story

The Dovetail Joints is a collaboration between Garry Randall and Jon Mitchell. 

Garry and Jon originally came together to play music from Garry's solo albums under the name of Safeword. 

The band evolved through several lineups and were ready to start playing live when Covid hit and all plans for live gigs were placed on hold. 

During lockdown, Garry and Jon started writing new material and re-emerged as The Dovetail Joints. The songs they wrote together resulted in the Goosepimple Bones album that was released in the Spring of 2022.

In addition to their original material, Garry and Jon also perform as an acoustic duo called Mustard Lee and Chutney, performing versions of songs from a diverse range of artists including Pink Floyd, The Beatles, The Who, The Jam, Erasure and many more.
